Ravidran Markandu, is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales since 1976 and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants. His previous employments include Group Financial Controller of UMW Toyota Motor Sdn. Bhd., and Grand Central Investment Holdings plc (listed on the London Stock Exchange), Executive Director, Malaysian Operations. He has also successfully got Bright Packaging listed on the Malaysian Bursa in 1995.

Since 2007, Ravi has served on the board of several companies, not-for-profit organisations and social enterprises whilst maintaining active participation in his profession – the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, Malaysia City Group and the Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Outside work, he enjoys working in his garden with his wife.
